2016 has been treating me well

It is the third week of the new year, and it shocks me how fast time is flying, January is coming to an end! And even though it is only the first month of the year, I know that 2016 will be a year filled with lots of adventures and changes. So I had the idea to go back every month and reminisce on everything that happens as well as keep track of my progress with my goals, mainly for myself, but I don't mind sharing it with everyone else.

So far, I'm doing really great and staying on top of things. I already crossed off a major goal on the list and went from being a red head back to my original platinum blonde. And I did it all by myself. I was really worried that I would mess up, but I actually prayed about this, and everything turned out great, my hair doesn't look as damaged as it should, and I feel like a fresh new me. #foreverblonde

I'm also so happy to share that I've been going to the gym at least four times a week, aaand I have finally convinced the husband (who always hated gym) to start going with me. Which is like a miracle that I never saw coming! But yea, we have been working really hard prepping for the hiking season, and summer.

Alongside that, my eating habits have changed immensely. Now, I've had days where I totally caved, but I always just got back on track again. I've been really paying attention to how my body feels when I eat certain foods, and I have decided to cut down on and eventually cut out: breads, sweets, any junk food, and meat, because I really do feel much better without it them. I started eating a lot more nutritious foods, and it's made the world of a difference. Those of you who are trying to do the same, hang in there, it's worth it.

So another resolution that I put down on my list was to be more creative, and the opportunities are flowing my way. I'm very excited because I have been asked to decorate a baby shower, and a bridal shower all in the month of February. I have already planned out both and I'm excited to get started on the part where I make everything and put it all together. I realized how much I love creating things, and I'm even considering taking it one step further eventually.

I have also been doing pretty well with reading the Bible. I wrote down to spend more time with God, and I've been loving it. As I mentioned in my previous post, it really changes my whole day, and day by day I'm changing as well. This has become an essential part of my life, and I'm so happy to admit that.

To top off this month, I'm in the progress of accomplishing one more of  my main goals; to travel more. I have a trip planned for about every month from January through April and my life couldn't be more exciting! Next weekend I'm finally visiting my best friend in Vancouver, and I'm pretty sure she already has each day planned out for us. I'm excited to go back to the Northwest, and see how she has settled down in her new home. I am counting down the days until I get to catch up with her, because I really do miss her.
For my trip after that I'm going somewhere a lot warmer. My husband decided to spoil me for my birthday and send me off to lounge on the beaches of Florida. I am so excited to get out of this cold weather, pull out my summer clothes and go on this mini vacation. I'm excited to see my family in Florida, and to hang out with my amazing girlfriends. Then, once the spring/summer season begins, the wedding season begins. And we plan to start it off in California at the wedding of my "third" cousin. Aside from the wedding we hope to explore some of the streets of L.A.

Hopefully it doesn't end with this, and we find opportunities to go to many more places, even if it is within Colorado. I already love 2016 and it just began. I hope to keep up with my resolutions, and accomplish many more of them. I plan to have many more adventures and I'm excited to share them. I hope you can keep accomplishing your goals as well and going on many many adventures too.
